I'll soon post photos of the apartment I am writing in, in Paris. I'm visiting a friend in Amsterdam for a few days. Looked at Rembrandts and Vermeers today. The other night walked talking in the rain around the city. the orange dusk sky of a long succession of road trips involving music shows but this was to be quintessential, with the blissful rupturing of my chrysalis--that butterfly's wings are still powdery. the deepening silhouette of We in a relaxed row out the back of a pickup and it's warm enough to be sleeveless even though it's night, a fireflown perfect night. Going to see this dance movie Rize tomorrow . |

Wooden boats, musical instruments and fireworks are some of the best inventions. And cameras. I don't believe in following any one person or set of ideas. There are tiny satiations like orchids along the viny forest floor, blooming unseen, more gorgeous than some could keep from weeping over. Whenever I see the occasional sun rise the colors always surprise me like the flavor of tahini in Holland. Subway cars make great rhythm along the tracks, as does wind in treebranches, the sound pattern of running engines, and sometimes clothes in a dryer. I like Sumerian poetry. Archives
