as when drawing or writing, the whole picture is taken in only when considering also what is not there. late summer/early autumn is my favorite season, at least some semblance of a season persists in the sharper, richer daylight and the pull of clarity. today three friends will touch down from japan for a week. tonight is michelle's bon voyage on-the-town because she is going to london soon. now i must tutor a russian guy who has a great but wealthily-subdued enthusiasm for life, and intelligent ideas. i think america is a complicated place. it is not ancient and simple because its ancientness got sidled up to by something brand new and dangerous. and interesting. america is not streamlined and gorgeously efficient. but i can like it better now. |

Define and Concur, wild like cloudlight The Writer
Wooden boats, musical instruments and fireworks are some of the best inventions. And cameras. I don't believe in following any one person or set of ideas. There are tiny satiations like orchids along the viny forest floor, blooming unseen, more gorgeous than some could keep from weeping over. Whenever I see the occasional sun rise the colors always surprise me like the flavor of tahini in Holland. Subway cars make great rhythm along the tracks, as does wind in treebranches, the sound pattern of running engines, and sometimes clothes in a dryer. I like Sumerian poetry. Archives
