Dim Sum on the Roof After Hemingway

A Moveable Feast may be the only Hemingway I will ever read (aside from "Hills Like White Elephants"). How can anything move me more than his exemplary prose about a city I adore...It is the same with the first televised soccer match I saw that featured World Soccer Champion Ronaldinho Gaucho--all subsequent matches look like foozball assemblages.

Ermest should never have left Hadley. He did say he wished he had died before he loved anyone but her.

Here is the view from the office I am temporarily working in. (I didn't take it). All the views out all the windows are fantastic. But the sunset from my roof two nights ago was better.

The Writer

Wooden boats, musical instruments and fireworks are some of the best inventions. And cameras. I don't believe in following any one person or set of ideas. There are tiny satiations like orchids along the viny forest floor, blooming unseen, more gorgeous than some could keep from weeping over. Whenever I see the occasional sun rise the colors always surprise me like the flavor of tahini in Holland. Subway cars make great rhythm along the tracks, as does wind in treebranches, the sound pattern of running engines, and sometimes clothes in a dryer. I like Sumerian poetry.
